JAIPUR

16/01/10
It is 7:30 pm, about 8 ° on the terrace of Hotel Rak, where there is a restaurant run by two characters with descriptions difficult, let's say you are a kind of Taliban who are cold and turbans worn by the ankle, that if the most educated, views of people showering with hot water in the terraces (men with underwear on) and the fog typical of Delhi.
At 8:30 am start our journey to Jaipur (275km) and we're moving away from Delhi and the day progresses the fog is less intense and the landscape changed to be more like humble villages with farms of all types, markets, vast areas of mechanics working on foot of highway completely dilapidated trucks, and small mountains that we welcome the Rajasthan. The road is very pleasant with Lakhan, with endless laughter, his stories and jokes. We arrived at Amber Fort, on top of a hill surrounded by a wall, with monkeys and birds everywhere, the visit is interesting and we get all sorts of rooms, beds, dining rooms, narrow corridors and balconies. We have been around 2 hours and Lakhan welcomes us with its relentless smile and a new proposal to visit another strong, Jaigarh accessing and that leads us to take a detour along a route with many curves and really close to the top of a mountain, Jaipur and overlooking the lake and the Jal Mahal are getting prettier, a photo will have been good. The fort is not no big deal, but the view of Jaipur and the strident sounds of Muslim mosques should not be missed, very good visual ...
After the descent with a rickshaw with lighting problems behind us, we soon passing in front of Jaipur Jal Mahal and making our bones in a restaurant with typical song and dance about trotamúsicos quite peculiar, however we liked the show and belly dancing girl.
Looking for a new place to sleep and finally to rest.
17/01/10
First full day in Jaipur begins with a breakfast of Nescafe fever and two pieces of buttered toast, that if the restaurant terrace and a blazing sun. Lakhan has been awake since 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock are not remove the smile off his face and all the time makes us feel great. The Tata waiting impatiently for the day, the first visit is the Hawa Mahal and the Bazaar siredeori which is on the same street. The following proposal is the City Palace, but it gives the feeling that it will not be something we get too excited and decided to skip the visit appears to be proposing another more interesting than this at about 35km on the road but there is plenty of countryside and villages more authentic, we went to Ramgarh Lake. The miles go by between camels, monkeys, people of all kinds, women who climb trees and other carrying firewood on her head in a very peculiar, all our attention, we seem to have become the past. Ramgarh Lake appears before our eyes dry completely, be able to reach 65m, but for the last 5 years the area suffered a severe drought that makes what lies ahead is a vast expanse of land, hundreds of monkeys and palm trees surround a hotel from where you see all that was the lake, we decided to come to ask some information about the area and serve us very kindly super hotel manager, teaching all the facilities if we want to again. Never saw a hotel as well, luxury, was a dream.
Woke up again at the Tata back to Jaipur, where our Dosas was waiting at the Rainbow restaurant. The dosas are a kind of rice crepe three feet where they put all kinds of vegetables, very good.
He played a bit of work after filling the stomach, we will visit the city jewelry is said to work fine silver. Compare prices and there was some buying groups, and some other good conclusion on a possible future. We've also been in textile shops, where they make all sorts of things from pashminas to passing duvet slippers, costumes, shoes and so on.
We flew Jaipur, Pushkar morning set out for our next destination.
